Our History
The Daughters of St. Camillus was founded on February 2, 1892, in Rome, Italy, by Blessed Fr. Luigi Tezza and St. Josephine Vannini, inspired by the mission of St. Camillus de Lellis, the Patron of the Sick.
Our Mission
Our mission is to serve the sick and vulnerable, following the example of Christ, the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37). We embody His healing ministry through acts of mercy, even at the risk of our own lives, and recognize Christ in every person in need (Matthew 25:31-36).
The Founders

In Kerala
St. Camillus Hospital was established in 1984 and has since become a trusted healthcare provider in the region of Chungakkunu, in Kannur District. Today, the hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including General Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and an Emergency Department with 24-hour service. The hospital is equipped with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a well-equipped laboratory, X-ray facilities, and an on-site pharmacy. Consultant doctors are available in various specialties, including ENT, Cardiology, Neurology, and Dermatology. Additional services include a Dialysis Unit, a Physiotherapy Centre, Palliative Care, and Home Care services. Our upcoming project is the development of a Modular Operation Theatre (OT), which will enhance our surgical capabilities and allow us to provide even higher standards of care to our patients.
