About us

MAHAJUBILEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, EDATHUA is a Health Care Institution  run by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS), Changanacherry. This institution is established in December 24  th 2001. by Msgr. James Parappally.

Kuttanadu, the beautiful backwater of Kerala, which is blessed with fields, rivers and water is at times threatened by floods thus the constant occurrence of flood has becomes a part and parcel of Kuttanadu. The Kuttanadu which we see today was quiet different half a century ago. Expertised medical facilities were not available to the people of Kuttanadu. If they want expert treatment they had to travel to distant places, spending a lot of money. Majorityof them were struggled by financial difficulties. The parents of Rev. Msgr.JamesParappally  who is a native of Edathua also had to undergo much difficulties like this. Fr. James’s loving father died even without getting necessary medical facility. His death caused a great wound in Fr.’s heart on that day.  The Mahajubilee hospital is the realization of his strong desire and inspiration that sprung up in his heart. He vowed that none should die without getting medical facility in this Kuttanadu area.  For that he dedicated his time, effort and money.
