Brief History of the Organization

Assisi Hospital Mukkoottuthara, was established in 1987 by Franciscan sisters to provide
health care facilities to the remote parts of Kottayam District. It is now owned and
managed by Diocese of Vijayapuram under the patronage of Rt.Rev. Dr. Sebastian
Thekkethecheril. It is 150 bedded hospital with department of General medicine, surgery,
Gynaecology, ENT, Pediatric, Orthopedic and the facilities of Operation Theatre, Labor
Room, X-Ray, Lab and 24 hours of casualty services.
Vision: - Our vision is to care lovingly and cure divinely as an expression of the healing
ministers of Christ, amidst the health care providers.

ASSISI COLLEGE OF NURSING ERUMELY

Assisi college of nursing came into existence in the year 2012.It is a venture of catholic
Diocese of Vijayapuram, Kottayam. Our institution is managed by Assisi hospital society.
Inspired by our motto. We care He cures”, we offer active learning in a vibrant spiritual
atmosphere, with well-equipped infrastructure and top-notch faculty. The college of
nursing with an annual intake of 40 students for Bsc nursing was started in 2012.
